“Socrates of Kamchatka” blends documentary and fiction to tell a story about a “new Russian” entrepreneur Anfisa and her horse Socrates, who was killed to punish her. Much of the film consists of the horse's satirical voice-over. Part of the AA Film Festival; cosponsored by the U-M Center for Russian and East European Studies.
