DJ Del "The Aztec Werewolf" Villarreal (from WCBN's "Go Kat, GO! The Rock-A-Billy Show!)" keeps those feet moving with an expert blend of raucous rythym & blues, boppin' hillbilly jive, pulsatin' hi-energy swing, scintilatin' big band mojo and far out 50's rock & roll! Ann Arbor dance floor real estate values always goes WAY UP when this Kat's in the hot box! It's a friendly, dance orientated trip through American roots music that's sure to please all, from the timid toe-tappers to the serious Swing acrobats.
Did we forget to mention that there's DANCE LESSONS early on in the evening???????
Well, there is! Learn the basic steps that will make you a swing king (or a swanky kitten) as WES BROCKBANK and LORI BURKHARDT instruct beginners and intermediate swing dancers from 7:30 until 9:00 p.m. These kids really know their stuff and are happy to spend extra time with their pupils throughout the night. The dance lessons are open to folks ages 18 and up, so donŐt feel you can't learn some moves without a valid ID. It's easier to learn than you think, so there's no reason why you can't join in on all the fun right now! Bring your significant other or your whole gang of friends out for some seriously fun dance lessons!
There's monthly beer specials as well as weekly Stoli Martini specials so all of you thirsty hoofers can wet your whistle between sets. Bartender's Jeff and Jolee are our expert libationators and are always happy to serve!
